Candice B & The Light Meter

Candice B & The Light Meter is an Edmonton-based indie folk project built around warmth, space, and story. Tagged indie folk, strumming stories, the music settles into the in-between moments—reflective, unhurried, and shaped by memory and place.

 

Led by singer-songwriter Candice Bartlett, the project values simplicity and presence, allowing each song to breathe. Bartlett is also the founder and director of Edmonton’s indie community choir, The Vox Collective, and that sense of shared musicmaking carries through in layered vocals and thoughtful arrangements.

 

Recent releases include stripped-back originals and carefully reimagined covers. Golden Hour, an EP currently in production, is scheduled for release in early 2026.
